What you agree to when you borrow.

You are borrowing from the host

Ours For Now is a marketplace. The host is the person lending the item. You are the guest. Ours For Now does not own the item, does not hand it to you, and does not insure it.

By confirming a request, you agree to these rules and to the listing as the host wrote it.

What you pay

You pay the daily price for each day of the stay, plus Ours For Now’s fee. A practice hire is $0, marked Practice, and does not ask for a card. The real price stays visible. The host is paid the rental on a paid hire. The fee stays with Ours For Now.

The cover

Cover is shown before you confirm. It is 0.5% of the value the host declared, per day, at least $1.

If you break it and the cover is not enough

You are responsible for loss, theft, and damage while the item is with you, including amounts above the cover. The cover is not a limit on what you owe the host.

How you borrow

You pick up and return the item the way the listing describes. You do not use it for a purpose the listing rules out. You return it when the stay ends. Photos at pickup and return are the record if there is a dispute.

Vehicles and anything that can injure someone

If you book a vehicle, you are responsible for driving it lawfully and for any crash, injury, or loss during the stay. The host confirmed it is registered, legal, and insured. Ours For Now does not provide vehicle insurance and will not pay for a crash, an injury, or a total loss.

You use every item at your own risk. If you are hurt because of how you used it, that claim is between you and the host, not a bill for Ours For Now to pay.

What you cover for Ours For Now

If someone brings a claim against Ours For Now because of the way you used the item, or because you did not return it, you will cover Ours For Now’s losses and reasonable legal costs from that claim. This includes a loss that is larger than the cover.

The limit on Ours For Now

Ours For Now’s responsibility to you for a booking is limited to the fee Ours For Now kept on that booking. Ours For Now is not liable for the host’s item, for damage above the cover, for lost income, or for indirect loss.

Laws that do not allow a limit for death, personal injury, or fraud still apply. If a sentence here cannot be enforced, the other sentences stay in force.
